About the Opportunity
In the Contract Specialist role at Pitney Bowes, you will play an important role in reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions for client and vendor facing contracts. You will be part of a great team of contracts professionals and will work closely with the various business units and subject matter experts at PB. In addition, you will have to interact with external clients during the contract negotiation process.

In this role, you ll join the Global Legal and Compliance Organization will report to a Contracts Director and will work with various business units within PB.This role is available to work from either Shelton, CT, Omaha, NE or Lanham, MD .
You will be responsible for:

Reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions in client Requests for Proposal
Providing fall back positions to internal clients
Assessing risk inherent in client provided terms and conditions and explaining that risk to internal and external clients
Interacting with sales leaders, subject matter experts in various PB departments, and the RFP Center of Excellence during the RFP and contract review process
Obtaining internal approvals in accordance with an approved risk matrix

3-5 years experience in a similar role or contracts administration position.
Excellent organizational, drafting, oral communication, business analytical, and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline oriented environment.
Must be able to work with all levels within Pitney Bowes and the client organizations and have demonstrable understanding of risk management elements and how they impact operations and the business as a whole.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, with strong ability to assess when to escalate issues.
Ability to tactfully stand ground on issues, even under significant pressure.
Must have solid knowledge of legal terminology, drafting skills, and familiarity with contract terms.
Sound PC knowledge, knowledge of a plus.
Must be flexible to work off-hours and after-hours, depending on field support and as required for contract negotiations
