CONTRACTS SPECIALIST/PARALEGAL (PART-TIME | GRAND RAPIDS, MI) Come join our great team! In this newly created role, the Contracts Specialist/Paralegal will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts, administering the contracts process, and maintaining contract records. In this role, you will partner with internal business stakeholders and external vendors and clients to ensure that contracts are efficiently and effectively reviewed and executed. The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-oriented, critical-thinking professional who is results-driven, understands the role and purpose of contracts and the contracts process within an organization, and enjoys working with the business to get the best results for OST. THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE, 20 HOURS PER WEEK BASED IN OUR GRAND RAPIDS, MI OFFICE. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Prepare, review, negotiate, and interpret contracts including (but not limited to) confidentiality agreements, service agreements, consulting agreements, and amendments, ensuring business needs and priorities are met while minimizing potential risks. * Read, understand, and analyze standard business and legal terms, identify issues and risks, and recommend potential solutions. * Utilize and maintain contract forms, templates, standard clauses, checklists, guidelines, and policies. * Coordinate and process information and responses from business stakeholders and clients to utilize in contract review and negotiation. * Maintain and update contracts record to store/retrieve contracts, track status and milestones, and report on upcoming contracts renewals or expirations. * Prepare reporting to facilitate the planning and maintenance of contract records. * Provide training and guidance to business partners regarding the contract review and approval process, contracts management, and potential risks. * Participate and assist with the resolution of contract disputes and claims.QUALIFICATIONS* At least three years of contracts experience, either as a Contracts Specialist or Paralegal, preferably within the tech industry. * Demonstrated superior customer service * Extremely detail oriented, with the ability to produce high quality work while managing and prioritizing internal and external clients needs. * Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment and build effective working relations with clients, colleagues, and vendors. * A strong sense of responsibility and reliability to complete job in the time required to meet established SLAs. * Ability to work flexible hours when needed to meet business requirements. * Flexibility to work a part-time schedule that requires working five (5) half days each week.EDUCATION* Bachelors degree or certification in Paralegal Studies and contracts experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
