Our growth strategy is founded on convenience, with intention to help patients access care that s close to where they live or work. Our ambulatory and physician networks are robust and are geographically well distributed. We re growing, with more than 60 ambulatory locations, more than 600 employed physicians and a clinically integrated network of more than 2,100 physicians.
OhioHealth isn t the only healthcare system in central Ohio, but we have 46 percent market share compared to 27 percent of our two, major competitors. SUMMARY and PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) provides leadership and oversight for the information technology support services which includes infrastructure, applications and reporting. This role must foster and maintain effective teamwork across the operational groups, and support collaborative partnerships across OhioHealth and with associated stakeholder communities.
The Deputy CIO is also a successor candidate for other senior executive positions, including the CIO position.
Education, Certification, Registration, LicenseBachelor's Degree
Field of Study: Business, Computer Science or a healthcare related field.Years of Experience: At least ten (10) years senior level leadership experience
Bachelor s degree in business, computer science or a health care related field
Hospital/healthcare operations including financial management, process improvement, and project management.
Healthcare industry knowledge with an emphasis on physician, clinical and business processes.
Experience with large scale implementation of EPIC.
Understanding of healthcare IT applications supporting hospital operations, ERP (finance, human resources, supply chain), PACs, homecare, ambulatory, revenue cycle, ancillary, population health, managed care, risk management, etc.
At least ten (10) years senior level leadership experience with demonstrated progressive experience leading large teams (100+) of technical professionals and budget management responsibility for at least $50MM.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with physicians by engaging with them to understand needs and concerns, as well as delivering successful solutions.
Demonstrated ability to innovate with a deep technical understanding of emerging technologies to address needs and problems of providing services to large and technically progressive organizations.
Proven ability to promote teamwork and collaboration, as well as generate innovative solutions to ordinary and extraordinary challenges.
Ability to review and modify business processes to meet the ever changing needs of a complex and dynamic environment.
