Director for Web & Digital Strategy

Director for Web Development & Digital Strategy Morningside College is now accepting applications for the position of Director for Web Development and Digital Strategy. This is a full time administrative position reporting to the Vice President for Marketing. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining web-based applications, sites and mobile applications that support Morningside College's marketing and communications strategic plan, as well as the college's overall strategic goals and initiatives. Responsibilities: Manage, plan, organize, develop, and evaluate Morningside College's internal and external web presence and ensure functionality with related databases, software technologies and other elements. This includes but is not limited to and Work with IT and senior staff members to maintain security and standards on all college websites. Provide support for updating content and graphics on all college websites to ensure the colleges' websites are up-to-date with its content and graphics. Monitor data and supply information to assist with the development and execution of digital marketing and communications efforts. Seek new technology and applications available to college and stay current on technological advances through professional development. Brainstorm, collaborate and contribute as a member of the marketing team to support ongoing strategic initiatives. Qualifications: Degree in computer science, web development, or related field Technical proficiency in multiple web development languages Experience developing websites, web-based applications, mobile sites, web design, and content creation and management Strong communication and writing/editing skills Experience with tracking and analyzing web analytics and other tracking tools Familiarity with object-oriented principles, W3C standards, design patterns, database design, and Section 508 government standards for accessibility and usability. Understanding of web development, including database systems, directory structures, networking, file sharing, archiving and security. Hands-on ability to build web-based applications, websites and mobile applications. Operate on a wide variety of computer workstations, including Microsoft Windows and Apple OSX Demonstrated project management and documentation skills and ability to troubleshoot web technologies or other problems.
