Director, IT Service Delivery
opportunity for a teaching hospital system in upstate New York.
Responsible for directing all operations and support activities for the hospital system computing environment. In this capacity, the director is responsible for using the ITIL framework to assure that all changes to the production computing and electronic communications environment are well planned and executed without disruption to those environments. The director is also responsible for managing the identification, prioritization, and resolution of any Incidents and Problems that occur in the computing and electronic communications environments. Areas include: Data Center, Service Desk, Field Support, Change/Release Management, Incident/Problem Management, ITIL process development and management, 1st and 2 nd Level Support, Systems Monitoring and Availability Management, and Production Control in a 24/7 environment. Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master s preferred
- Five years of experience in Service Management
- Five years of experience as a Team Lead or demonstrable experience in leading virtual teams
- Five years of experience in managing 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services
Preferred: ITIL certification or in process.
