2017-020-EGR: Embedded Systems Security Analyst
Directorate Engineering & Support Solutions Riverside Research's Engineering & Support Solutions Directorate has a potential opening for an Embedded Systems Security Analyst in the Dayton, OH area. The position s primary responsibilities include participation in projects to assess the security, reliability, and trustworthiness of electronic devices, integrated circuits, embedded systems, and associated intellectual property (IP).
Job Responsibilities: Conduct analysis to assess the security, reliability, and trustworthiness of electronic devices, integrated circuits, embedded systems, and associated intellectual property (IP)
Provides tasking and guidance to a small group of engineers with diverse competencies
Identifies vulnerabilities in security architectures and advances trust and assurance in addition to supply chain protection
Researches and implements new assessment techniques to improve evaluation capabilities to identify untrustworthy supply chain parts
Documents progress in technical reports and presentations to customers and R&D community
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (no felony record, no illegal drug use, have US citizenship, no serious financial issues)
BS (MS preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Understanding of embedded systems including application specific integrated circuit (ASIC), 3D integrated circuits, field programmable gate array (FPGA), microprocessor, and microcontroller devices
Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic/spectrum analyzers, etc.)
Proficiency with Python, C, C++, Matlab, Java, data structures
Understanding of reverse engineering and radio frequency emission attributes
Ability to work independently with minimal supervisory direction
Excellent intrapersonal and communication skills
Prior experience performing security architecture assessment including vulnerability identification and mitigation
Experience with modern cryptographic algorithms including mathematical theory of operation
Understanding of analog or digital circuit design
