We are seeking anInformation Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our NavalResearch Lab customer in Washington, DC (MD side of Wilson Bridgeat 295).
RESPONSIBILITIES:Acting as the focal point for programinformation systems security and security awarenessinformation Developing system security plans,risk assessments, incident response plans, and contingencyplans Developing and administering informationsystem security guidelines and proceduresEnsuring safeguards are implemented to protect againstmalware Ensuring suspected system securityintrusion incidents are reported, tracked, andremediated Ensuring compliance with the DoD,DoN, and NRL Information Assurance ProgramInitiating protective and corrective measures when asecurity problem is discovered Providingsecurity status reporting in compliance with FISMArequirements Maintaining a plan for sitesecurity improvements towards meeting accreditationrequirement Preparing Certification andAccreditation (C&A) documentation in accordance with agencypolicies Maintaining a current CompTIASecurity+ Certification
REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor s degree (or the equivalent) with a minimum of12 years of related experience Designingand/or configuring security solutions and associated architecturesin an enterprise environment Broad range ofsecurity product engineering tasks including planning, requirementsdefinition, design, documentation, test, integration anddeployment Working with Intrusion DetectionSystems and Intrusion Prevention SystemsIntegration, installation, configuration, testing, andadministration of C&A Management tools andcapabilities to implement RMF, C&A/A&A business processes,workflow, DCID 6/3, NIST 800-53 security controlsmappings Working with DCID 6/3, DIACAP and DoDDirective 8570.1 Performing Risk Managementassessment Preparing and writing Certificationand Accreditation documentation in accordance with agencypolicies Experience with security design andcertification processes, information assurance management, computersecurity and data networks
SECURITY CLEARANCE:This position requires thecandidate to already possess an active TS/SCI securityclearance.
