Core Job Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare correspondence, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Establish and maintain client files, ensuring that files are current and well organized.
Tab and organize medical records, pleadings, etc.
Assist in electronic filings and document retrieval.
Coordinate and maintain attorney(s) calendar for appointments, trial dates, depositions, etc.
Daily administrative including filing, copying, faxing, and scanning.
Assist other secretaries with overflow as directed.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
Strong typing and transcription skills at a rate of -/+ 65 wpm.
Knowledge of court electronic filing systems and procedures.
Skilled in MS Office (Word, Outlook & Excel).
Working knowledge of business English and basic legal terminology.
Familiarity with law office practices and procedures.
