We are currently seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer / Firewall Engineer to join our expanding firm. The ideal candidate will possess mid to senior level Network Security experience and at least 6 years of experience designing and/or deploying security architectures.
Responsibilities of the Firewall Engineer
You will be a security practice resource post-project and will develop experience / receive training with a variety of vendor security solutions including Cisco and Palo Alto
Perform a combination of security engineering (primarily built around design / build, but with some run on occasion) as well as routing / switching and datacenter
Stay committed to continued training and certification (we provide a minimum of 2 weeks / year and funding for training and certification)
Maintain dedication to doing quality work and continuously improving
Develop and drive local and global policies
Assist in troubleshooting connectivity through firewall log analysis and network traces
Requirements of the Checkpoint Firewall Engineer:
This is a full time, direct hire role and will require US citizenship to access some customer sites in the DC/VA metro area. You must pass a drug screen and Background investigation as well.
Minimum 6 years of experience designing and/or deploying security architectures
Strong experience with Fortinet Firewalls as well as additional experience with Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Check Point or other enterprise firewall experience
Cisco based routing and switching experience
Experience with security compliance standards like PCI, HIPAA, etc.
Experience with site to site VPN, remote access VPN
Ability to work both independently and with a team of highly skilled professionals
Experience with Imperva Application Firewalls a plus
- Basic technical knowledge of systems engineering, networking and software architectures
It would be great if you also had:
Mid level or higher RSA Authentication Manager
- Experience with Imperva Application Firewalls
