This position is within Reynolds American Services Company a subsidiary that provides support services, including compliance, HR, law, finance, information management, and more to all of the subsidiaries of RAI.
The role is responsible for facilitating and managing proprietary product-related information in the Product Data Management (PDM) system for RAI tobacco-manufacturing operating companies. This includes communicating, troubleshooting, analyzing and trending data, as well as generating reports and submissions relative to FDA and non-FDA reporting obligations and other business-related initiatives, as needed per Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The role will liaison as required with internal and external stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise for generation or improvement of key company processes, specific to compliance-related systems and reports, with focus in the PDM system. Additionally, the role is responsible for other ingredient-related support, independent review of submission reports, and website-related product and ingredient updates.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obtain, review, update, and maintain trade-secret formulation disclosure information in the PDM system.
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and implement PDM processes as needed.
Generate trade-secret formulation disclosure reports and submissions in support of FDA and non-FDA regulatory submissions.
Develop and maintain compliance-related reports to ensure accurate reporting and support for other business functions.
Interface with clients to ensure appropriate review, alignment, and stewardship prescreening (as requested) of product information within required timeline.
Train Regulatory Compliance Team for effective use of PDM and associated business intelligence tools to ensure quality reports and submissions are produced in a timely manner.
Support Product Integrity, Regulatory Compliance and Scientific and Regulatory Affairs as assigned/needed.
BA/BS in scientific discipline preferred; or 5+ years in tobacco industry
Knowledge of PDM system preferred
Familiarity of SAP and Laboratory Information Management systems preferred
Broad, cross-functional tobacco product knowledge
Knowledge of tobacco-relevant regulations, stewardship and compliance processes or other quality management practices (ISO, GLP, etc.) preferred
Highly proficient in MS Office software, including Excel, Word and Power Point
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Solid leadership skills and a willingness to take responsibility and accountability
