Job Description
The Senior Paralegal (Safety, Sustainability and Environmental Services) provides overall support concerning legal matters related to the Company s Safety, Sustainability and Environmental functions, including supporting attorneys, corporate and field personnel. The position also is responsible for administering and maintaining certain related databases and files.

Principal Responsibilities
Provides support related to environmental compliance and litigation, as well as safety, sustainability, and security-related matters.
Manages and maintains corporate compliance databases (using Access, Secretariat, Serengeti and other web-based databases).
Maintains processes to track environmental litigation case status, outside counsel fees and other litigation expenses.
Prepares reports of relevant matters.
Oversees outside law firm budgeting and invoice system.
Manages e-discovery and other litigation support duties.
Conducts research.
Reviews and tracks permits, licenses, contracts and compliance documents.
Prepares correspondence to corporate and field personnel and government regulators.
Reviews requests for proposals and assists in response preparation.
Prepares correspondence to corporate and field personnel and government regulators.
Advises field personnel regarding appropriate use and preparation of regulatory forms.
Compiles data and prepares regular reports, including Excel spreadsheets.
Responds to inquiries from corporate and field personnel.
Coordinates with and responds to inquiries from outside counsel.
Coordinates with IT Department on database management.
Maintains corporate files.
Performs other job- related duties as assigned or apparent.

Experience with Secretariat, Access, Serengeti and other similar database platforms (required).
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal (required).
Associate s degree or paralegal certification.
Experience in matters related to safety, sustainability and/or environmental compliance and litigation management.
Excellent skills in organization and detail-orientation.
Proven ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to take initiative and work independently with high level of independent motivation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent research skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
