Job Description:

The Senior Benefits Analyst will be responsible for the management of retirement benefit plans and programs. This position is responsible for providing subject matter expertise on administration, compliance and reporting, as well as employee communication and education for qualified and non-qualified retirement programs. The position will also conduct data analysis regarding various aspects of the plans, identify and develop process improvements, and implement programs accordingly. The successful candidate should have a high level of comfort working with all levels of employees. He/she should also possess strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.

Retirement Duties-70%

  • Administration: Responsible for the day-to-day administration and operation of the retirement plans, including defined contribution and defined benefit plans
  • Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance of the plans; Manage the 401(k) and Pension Plan annual audits, 5500 process and compliance testing
  • Vendor Coordination: Oversee the coordination of all vendors related to the administration of the retirement plans
  • Plan Reporting: Collaborate with actuaries, auditors and internal finance team to ensure all parties have the appropriate information as needed for appropriate measurement and reporting of plan assets, liabilities, and funding levels
  • Communications/Education: Prepare and/or supervise vendors for the draft and delivery of appropriate educational communications regarding the retirement plans

    Health & Welfare Duties- 30%

  • Serve as back up to the Health & Welfare Senior Benefit Analysts by assisting with the administration of all health & welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life and disability.

  • Knowledge of Google Suite a plus

    Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in human resources with a proven, comprehensive understanding of retirement benefits
